The Owen Wilson-voiced super race car has become an utter icon for so many kids (and adults!) and so we wanted to take a closer look at Dickie Toys/Disney’s supped-up Rusteze Racing Centre new-look Lightning and, of course, we needed an expert and so I thought my nephew Dylan would be the best person to trial it for us! As Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) comes to terms with his inevitable retirement from racing, we see multiple flashbacks and references to his old mentor Doc Hudson in the film who was quietly killed off screen in between 'Cars' and it's 2011 sequel. Disney-Pixar’s Cars 3recently revamped the series to see our hero Lightning McQueen set out to prove to a new generation of racers that he’s still the best in the world, and they did it pretty impressively, even after that early teaser made us wonder if it was finally the end for McQueen. ![]()
